Date) and Consulting Services (Options, Collectability, Etc.) In some cases, it will be necessary to retain co-counsel to assist in the legal preparation and filing. In those cases, total legal fees & costs will be approximately $500.00 The statutes of Delaware, Maryland, New Hampshire, and Hawaii are unusual in that they require filing a lawsuit simultaneously with the Lien. A higher fee may be required in those four states. Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina may require a sheriff to personally serve the Lien.
